The MKVII Pack is a collection of premium captures inspired by the tonal character, flexibility, and unmistakable response of the legendary Mesa/Boogie® Mark VII.

Known for combining multiple generations of the iconic Mark-series sound in one amplifier, the Mark VII covers an exceptionally wide tonal spectrum - from pristine cleans and dynamic edge-of-breakup tones to tight, aggressive rhythm sounds and saturated high-gain leads.

The pack is designed as a multiplatform collection, combining ready-to-play presets with Direct Captures (DI) and Custom IRs for greater flexibility across compatible platforms.

CLEAN & LOW GAIN

Clear, articulate tones with excellent dynamics, definition, and headroom. Ideal for clean passages, pedal platforms, ambient playing, blues, and edge-of-breakup sounds.

MARK-STYLE CRUNCH

Focused midrange, fast response, and the characteristic punch associated with classic Mark-series amplifiers. Perfect for rock rhythm tones, progressive playing, and articulate lead work.

HIGH GAIN RHYTHM

Tight low end, aggressive attack, and excellent note separation even with higher gain settings. Designed for modern rock and metal rhythm tones where precision and clarity are essential.

SATURATED LEAD

Smooth sustain, rich harmonic content, and a focused response designed for expressive lead playing. These presets retain articulation while delivering the compression and saturation expected from a high-gain Mark-style amplifier.

🎚️ DIRECT CAPTURES (DI)

The pack also includes Direct Captures covering all 3 amplifier channels and their available modes.

These captures contain the amplifier signal without a cabinet baked into the tone, giving you maximum flexibility when choosing your own cabinet IRs.

Use them with the included Custom IRs or pair them with your own cabinet and speaker impulse responses to create completely different tone combinations while retaining the core response of the amplifier.

The DI section covers the full range of the amplifier - from clean and low-gain sounds through classic Mark-style crunch to aggressive rhythm and saturated lead tones.

🎙️ MICROPHONES & CAPTURE CHAIN

The cabinet IRs were created using 3 microphones:

Shure SM57
AEA R84 Ribbon
Sennheiser e906

The microphones were blended to create balanced, mix-ready cabinet tones withstrong note definition and a natural response across clean, crunch, and high-gain sounds.

The Direct Captures (DI) were created using a Suhr Reactive Load IR, allowing the amplifier to be captured without a cabinet while preserving the dynamic interaction and response of a real speaker load.
